With a history of almost 30 years, CPI A/S is a highly experienced clothing firm. We have been globally oriented from the beginning, and we have had a steady focus on placing our production in countries where the most competitive relationship between quality and price is currently to be found. Production thus commenced in Denmark. It has since moved to Portugal, North Africa, Ukraine, the Baltic countries and Poland, and it is now located in the Far East. Apart from production, CPI A/S was among the very first to relocate its research and development functions, establishing an R&D department in Kaunas, Lithuania, 15 years ago. This development is continuing, and global logistics and sourcing are now located in Hanoi, Vietnam. With its long history, CPI A/S has demonstrated an extremely high level of ability to adapt to constantly changing competitive conditions – an ability we intend to maintain so that we can also ensure a positive development for ourselves and our clients in the future.

Experience is everything in the clothing sector, and CPI has lots of it. Production commenced 30 years ago under modest circumstances in a house in central Denmark. A sign with the text “Small is beautiful” hung on the wall in the production room, but below it, somebody added in black ink: “but bigger is better”. And things did get bigger and better in the following years, as production moved to Portugal, North Africa, Ukraine, the Baltic countries and Poland, until its present location in the Far East.

CPI saw the options for acting quickly in the globalised world and opened a research and development department in Kaunas, Lithuania 15 years ago. But developments have led us eastward, and Global Logistics and Sourcing are now located in Hanoi, Vietnam. We are also completing 30,000 square metres of production facilities in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Time and experience have taught us to manoeuvre with confidence in the rapidly changing competitive conditions on the international markets. This ability will also be used in the future for the benefit of our clients.
